Elmond Instructor Guide

We’re excited to have you join as an instructor. Even if you’re new to video or online teaching, don’t worry — our team is here to support you every step of the way. And in this early stage, Elmond will upload the courses for you.
1. Trust & Safety
1.1 Your Role as an Instructor
- You’re responsible for the accuracy and originality of the content you share (lectures, notes, quizzes, assignments, etc.).
- For now, the Elmond team will handle the uploading process.
- Trainers should not use or share submitted content outside of Elmond.
1.2 Privacy & Data
- Elmond may use your content for marketing, promotion, or quality checks.
- You allow us to use your name, voice, and image to showcase your courses.
- Student data stays on Elmond. You agree not to collect or use it outside the platform.
2. Course Management
- Pick your course topic and teaching language.
- Structure content clearly: modules, lessons, resources, and intro video.
- You can update or refresh your content anytime.
- Elmond holds a license to market and distribute your course, but you own the original rights.
3. Quality Standards
Minimum Recording Requirements:
- Video in HD (720p minimum, 1080p recommended), landscape, 16:9 aspect ratio.
- Clear lighting, steady framing (use tripod or stable surface).
- Good audio quality: no background noise, voice clear and steady.
Extra Quality Tips:
- Use the rule of thirds for framing.
- Avoid overhead lighting, place lights at eye level.
- Record in a quiet space with soft surfaces to reduce echo.
- Keep 2–3 feet distance from the camera, at eye level.
4. Tools You Can Use
- Camera: Smartphone (good quality), DSLR, Webcam, or GoPro.
- Microphone: Boya, Maono, JBL, Samson, or similar.
- Screen recording: QuickTime, CamStudio, Screencast, etc.
- Lighting: Natural light or portable LED (Mi, Digitek, Simpex).
5. Market & Sell
Elmond Promotions & Deals Program:
- By default, your course may be offered in promotions or discounts to attract more students.
- This helps maximize visibility and revenue.
Revenue Share:
- 50%: If students buy through Elmond promotions or browsing.
- 80%: If students use your coupon or referral link.
- You can generate referral links and coupons but cannot sell them outside Elmond.
6. Payments & Refunds
- Signing bonus: Once your first course is published, Elmond will credit you a goodwill amount as a startup bonus.
- Payment cycle:
• Month 1: Course goes live, enrollments & student fees collected.
• Month 2: Refunds/adjustments processed.
• Month 3: Instructor payment released = (Month 1 net student payments – refunds) × revenue share.
Refund Policy:
- Students can request refunds. If refunds happen after your payout, Elmond will adjust/deduct from your next payment.
7. Supporting Students
- Respond to student questions within 24–48 hours.
- Be polite, professional, and supportive to build trust.
8. Checklist Before Publish
- Course outline complete.
- At least one intro video recorded.
- Lessons clear and in sequence.
- Content reviewed for originality.
- Elmond team confirmed upload.
9. Tips for Success
- Keep lessons short (5–10 minutes).
- Update content regularly.
- Add quizzes/assignments for better engagement.
- Share your course link to boost enrollments.
